Participants should assemble at the clock tower at 5.45pm. The town’s Provost (Mayor) hands the Town Banner to the Riders who then take it on a tour of the town boundaries in true Riding of the Marches tradition.  A flag-waving ceremony subsequently takes place in Ann Street upon, and to mark, the safe return of the banner.  Food is available in Ann Street at this event.
